DEVET SLONA (Nine Elephants) is a summer art-in-the-city program that will take place for the first time between 11 and 21 July 2024 in Sofia. SPACE FOR CONTEMPORARY CULTURE IN BULGARIAN MUSEUMS
public discussion
In recent years we have been observing an increased inclusion of contemporary art and culture in the programmes of municipal galleries and museums, which are typically involved in art heritage preservation. Our goal is to discuss all these questions with the help of representatives of some of the most active institutions in the country, as well as of professionals who have been working in that direction for years.

A LECTURE AND WORKSHOP BY SNEJANKA MIHAYLOVA AND LUBOMIR DRAGANOV
Acoustic stage is a continuation of the dialogue between Snejanka Mihaylova (philosopher, writer and publisher The Last Books) and Lubomir Draganov (psychologist, visual artist) for the conception of a hybrid format between research and performative practice which can be useful both as an aesthetic framework for an experience and as an educational model.

VIVIEN TROMMER
“House of Commons” is a constantly changing exhibition that recently opened at Portikus, Frankfurt am Main (Germany). The show arose as a response to the political events of recent months in Europe and the United States. In this conversation piece, Vivien Trommer (co-curator and Kadist Curatorial Fellow) and Viktoria Draganova extend the topics addressed in the show to a more general discussion on where art and politics meet, whether it is possible to reinvent the audience, and what are the demands on art institutions today. Certainly, all big questions at the end of a turbulent year.
