Sofia Art Map focuses on contemporary art, performance and culture. It presents public institutions, galleries, art shops and independent projects that seek to resonate with present day. looking for a present-day resonance. The first edition aims at laying down the basics of Sofia Art Map. At this stage you will find information about current events and working hours directly at the locations shown on the map. We are working on turning this map into a periodical that will include current exhibitions, collaborative projects as well as pop-up locations and initiatives in Sofia.
Sofia Art Map is a project initiated by Swimming Pool, an independent space for research in the field of contemporary art, with the aim to support and strengthen collaborative approaches and collectivity in the art field. Our gratitude goes to our team for the great help in drawing up the map as well as to all colleagues and friends who shared their recommendations, ideas and wishes with us.
