After being around town upon the invitation of Swimming Pool, a group of 10 artists from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam will show work and perform talks at the gallery. They saw the city and mountains, heard many things from people, got news from minerals, received insights on the independent use and joy of space, songs and science, waited at the dada bar, and counted the time to fill water bottles at springs.
From 6 pm onwards, they will make Thursday the night, and Swimming Pool the space in which to polyrythmically process the input from Sofia: accidental sonic intakes—single voices, singular experiences, encounters and interviews—are conjoined in an attempt at collective generative thinking. How to receive the teachings of the city and woods? Open the receptacle. Voilà, the Pool is a nest full of eggs: assembled in A show A night Of talks.
